Sometimes that is what you most want. . an answer to what is causing problems, even if it isn't one that you really want to hear!  I hope Hoffa's syndrome has a good treatment. . I have never heard of it. I'm currently going through all the things you mention, for quite bad ankle pain in both ankles. . finally diagnosed as osteochondritis. I've had preferred something else, but at least now I know what it is is, and I'll learn to live with it!  (not much choice is there!!!) good luck with your Hoffa's syndrome.

It has something to do with fat pad underneath the knee cap. Best to discus with doctor to determine treatment.

Whatever it is hope you can get some suitable treatment for it.

Take care and keep in touch

I was thinking that a lot of the people who have mentioned on this forum that they have bad pain in the front of their knees may very well have this problem . . . presumably not post TKR patients though?
