Isn't that ice machine the BEST thing?? It was my life saviour...especially when I did my exercises!! I still ice my knee now (8mths post), but I use a large freezer pack. The stiffness is normal. I still get that now (sometimes). It will get better. I'm told by others that it can take up to a year.

Oh Shelley that is one of the best investment in my life when the nurse at my doctors office introduce it to me I taught it was a little experience but I am happy I purchased it I never had any swelling during my healing I could use it as long as I wanted I keep it on for at least 2 hours per day when I was in the hospital the nurse put it on all night.

I borrowed the one I used from my friend who had both knees done a couple of years ago! Best thing ever.  I also found an ice pack in Walmart that comes with a cover that wraps around the knee. . It's large enough to cover the area nicely.  That's what I use now after I go to the gym.

Absolutely the best thing ever!! I think I lived in mine.  I'd go to sleep with it on. We (my boyfriend actually) froze 4 water bottles and used that instead of ice. Topped up with water in the little tub part.....stayed cold longer.  We had 4 frozen at all times so that we could switch when needed.

Don't rely on that 6-month mark.  My doc said there could be residual stiffness for 18 months.  I'm almost 17 months and I get a bit from time to time.  You won't know that you're done until you're done.
