lack of Iron

Posted , 5 users are following.

could i ask other sufferers of D.D If they are suffering from iron deficiency

due to drastic change in their diet ? Due to not eating vegetables and other

iron producing foods ,and would it be wise to take an iron supplement ?

As there are no clinic follow ups does it mean a visit to the G.P for advice

and a blood test  ?????

Even if you eat loads of veg you are unlikely to get the vitamins and minerals you need. A cabbagenow contains ony about 3% of the vitamins and minerals it contained 5 0 years ago.

Oooh I do hope Jon is reading this.  I am a blood donor so my iron levels are checked on a regular basis.  Given the supplements I take, I do not suffer from deficiency of iron or anything else (that I am aware of).  I also take calcium and vitamins to help each other to be the best they possibly can be as regards absorption.  It's a wonder I don't rattle, but I would rather take supplements than risk being told I can't donate.  It means quite a lot to me to be able to do that.
