Aw I know.It can be a really scary time. At least you will be sorted soon. Im waiting for Tuesday when the team are going to decide what they want to do with me. They've been using the watch and wait approach since the start of the year but im just ready for them to go now that theres a 3rd one aswell x

Watch & wait! That must be driving u nuts, I literally had pain had a scan then dr refers for another scan to decide whatever surgery then waiting on the op, reading some forums & every women gets freaked out too, I'm 30 & he did say that's less likely to be cancerous on the complex due to my age.

Had to sign saying its ok to remove my ovaries if they find something new or tear something in surgery! I know they have to put in worst case scenario but that is not nice to speak of.

If u do hear anything about how they get bug cysts through the incisions let me know please.

I hope they get u sorted soon xx

    Hi laraw62850,

I too wondered how the cysts are removed, especially if they are big. The cut to my abdomen was about 4 inches and well below my belly button. So no problem wearing a bikini as the scar is well out of sight and fading well.

I was brave enough to watch about 4 minutes of a 7 minute video online actually showing the complete surgical process.

Basically once a cut is made , the cyst is also cut and a tube is inserted to draw out the liquidy contents. A bit like a balloon being deflated. Then once the contents of the cyst is emptied it is easy to remove the outer layer of the cyst out through the opening.

Easy Peasy. No pain whatsoever and you don't know a thing about it till it's all over. It's a nothing short of a miracle what these surgeons are doing every day as a matter of routine.

Hope that helps. ( By the way my cyst was huge and weighed 21 lbs )
