Today I got the resluts from the Biopsy done on my Glans Penis two long weeks ago.

To recap my situation: Almost a year ago I noticed a small red spot appear on  the head of my penis (Glans). No pain or discomfort, and barely noticable. Several months later there began to pain in that spot, specifiaclly during oral sex, but who's gonna complain then... Several months later the small spot had grown into an area about the size of a thumbprint. I never noticed it changing, although I, like most males, look at my penis regularly. It began to concern me, but also like most males, I was hesitant about going to my Dr and showing him my dick. I looked around on the internet and found this site. Seeing that other guys also had similar concerns, I got the courage to go to my Dr for "show and tell". The first Dr didn't want to see my spot, just gave me meds for a Yeast infection and said "let's see what happens". Nothing did. I went to a new Dr. he looked me over and immediatly sent me to a Urologist, suspecting cancer. The Urologist took a look and scheduled me for a Glans Biopsy. I had to wait about a month for the biopsy, and then two weeks for the results.

Through this process, I posted my situation here, and an update, and now the latest update. My encouragement to all who read this is to please take your penis health seriously. Don't let shyness or embarrassment keep you from seeing your Dr and getting looked at. Dr's have seen it all. So far through this experience I have shown my Penis to three Dr's, one new assistant (young lady), and four nurses. Now I get to show it to a Dermatologist (a woman) in another two weeks. I'm not really excited to be showing off my bits, but it's better than losing them to cancer or something else.

I'm including a photo series from the beginning to today for your information, hope it helps...by the way...the dark area below the glans is an injection site for part of the penile block, and the close up glans shot is just part of the healing process, the final shots show that the inflammation is increasing. I'll start the treatment today and let you know if it helps or not...

By the way, the diagnosis is Lichenoid Inflammation with Mild Squamous Atypia/hyperplasia...treatment until my Dermatologist appointment is

clobetasol 0.05 % cream, once per day

?I'll update after my next appointment...

Thanks for the update jorock. I'm glad that things are looking UP for you...  And I'm even more happy that is wasn't anything overly serious like cancer. Please keep pouncing on men to go to see the doctor when it comes to our penises, because I do the same when I respond.

Thank you, I appreciate your words of encouragement to me and to other guys. We need to get over our self image issues (fears) that center on our Penises. They come in all looks and sizes and we have to stop comparing ourselves to anyone else and simply be good with what the good Lord gave us.

You're very welcome! And I also applaud you and other men on here for being vulnerable and putting yourselves (penis pics) out there TO SHOW your medical concerns and TO SHOW the before and after of such medical concerns. We, as men need that.

Thanks for the update, and glad to hear it's not more serious.  It's definitely something best caught early though.

I can't agree enough, that men need to take their health more seriously, even (especially?) when it's something potentially embarrassing.  As I often point out here, women have to lie on their backs with their legs in the air on a regular basis, while a stranger looks inside them with a speculum and flashlight, so we men have it easy.  There are way too many men who won't see a doctor till they absolutely have to, and it's something we need to change.

Hope you have a full and speedy recovery!

Thanks, I appreciate your words of encouragement for me during this process. Catching this early enough was so important so that it didn't become a much bigger problem. I'll post again after the Dermatology appointment with their thoughts...

Thank you. My reason for posting was to help other guys see my own condition, understand my hesitation, but be encouraged to go to a Dr for evaluation, even through a Biopsy, which terrified me in anticipation, but was actually not much to go through. The pictures look much worse than it was, no real pain ever, just slight discomfort. As I continue next with a visit to a Dermatologist, I will post with their diagnosis and treatment, and follow up with progress reports and photos showing the healing process.

The most important thing here is to catch these things early enough so that they don't become serious problems later.
