Lexapro- I was on 20 mil for a while & went down to 10 and now feel anxiety - going back up?

I have been on Lexapro for about 2 years. I was on 20 mil steady for a while and me & my doctor decided I could try to slowly taper down to 15 and then to 10. I have been on 10 for about 5-6 months. Recently, I tried tapering down to 5 for about a week but then went back to 10. A few events happened in my life that triggered severe anxiety & health anxiety like ive never had before. I am back taking 10 miligrams steadily without missing days or going on 5mil or anything. Although I have been waking up with really bad morning anxiety . The anxiety has been waking me up around 5-6 am for no reason. Is this my body adjusting to the meds/a response to the events that triggered it. Will it work if I go back up to 15 and eventually 20 mil of Lexapro (Escitalopram) . Once I gradually go back up, will my body readjust and go back to how it was because i was doing really well.

    Hello

I was on 20m fluoxetine for many years and always felt good didnt worry about silly things, my Doctor two years ago wanted me to ween off them, so I took 1 every other day for probably six months, eleven weeks ago I went down bang with depression anxiety due to having medical issues, its been like going to hell and back, I had every side effect you could think of, its taken me 11 weeks to get better with a little way to go yet, it was the worst thing I have ever done coming off the drug.

I wouldnt say that by going back up to a stronger strength that you wont get the side effects again, because when my dose was increased I went through all the side effects for a second time.

I feel for you, I have gone through the same thing health issues and still am, just one thing can tip us over the edge.
