Thats so good to hear, im always picked up by hearing about everyones recovery.

I do need to ask, did you goto the gym before your op? I know being as active before surgery is very important.

Hi Mishelle yes on occasions I went to gym, I was going waterwork out 3 times a week, as this seemed more gentle  on my hips and knees. For some reason when I went to my 6weeks check up, I was not given any Physio. I had to go to my  GP she asked how my Physio is hoping, I told her that they never gave me any, only whT I was doing in hospital. She has made me appointment for today  actually to start  Physio. So really that's why I made the decision go getting back to gym doing my own little exercise, see gist tidy brings, Good luck to you wish you well xx

Impressive! I have been focused on PT exercises and walking but starting to feel it is time to get into the gym.

Walking w a walker really helped me lengthen my stride and this helps smooth out my gait. My PT says: Be sure you are walking all the way through the heel to the toe , walk tall and swing your arms (helps lengthen your stride).

Keep up the good work and keep in touch it helps motivate us!

    Thank you.

    Hi Neil

Thats great.  I too am back to the gym and building up.  I actually find doing work on the cross trainer and the bike is easier than walking.  I also try to go once a week to an aquarobics class but may give that up and just swim instead.  I too am still walking with a slight limp.  I am 14 weeks. I have ordered a new bike so I can commute to work.  My only worry is falling off but I need to keep a positive outlook on that.

Keep it up and wishing you a speedy recovery.
