Likelihood of having infection

I had protected but initially unprotected sex with a man year and half ago who told me two months after are encounter that he paid for sex and got herpes he was confident that this exposure was after me but wanted me to be aware. Since then I havent had anything I would consider out of the ordinary. I have had three consistent partners since not daily sex but on average about once a month/two months. Recently after a fingering encounter I bled which I found strange but days later I begain experiencing pain when I tried to use the bathroom for either pee or poop. Other than that I felt irritated nothing like excruiating pain but uncomfortable This lasted about four days today I finally feel irritated but much more comfortable to go to the bathroom. I have checked daily and not noticed any bumps but today I noticed further down. COuld this be herpes or something else?

Did all you receive was fingering, no oral, no sex? Did you receive oral or sex in the two weeks beforehand? It does look like an ulcer, but that does not necessarily mean herpes, and it would be quite uncommon to get herpes from fingering alone, and if from your long ago partner, you'd expect an outbreak from back then. Best thing is to see a doctor and get it swab tested for herpes *asap* for greater accuracy (accuracy declines over time).

it was just fingering there was no oral as I started bleeding during the rough fingering. The next day we did the same so I never really gave it a chance to heal.

All I can say is that if you're concerned it's herpes from this incident (unlikely) or your ex partner, then get it swabbed asap. If it's just a simple tear that has managed to ulcerate, keep it clean to avoid bacterial infection. A doctor may or may not prescribe a topical antiseptic.
