I'm a 16 years old boy, i have never had sex and i have had this checked by my GP, they said it was 'interesting' and haven't seen it before. They suggested that it was a mole, and i may have only came across it as my penis has grown however i am positive it was not there before. I have had this little spot for about 6 months and has not gone, i also believe that it hasn't changed in size. There is no pain or itchiness, i am just embarrassed by it and too scared to do stuff with girls. Anyone know how i can get rid of it, thanks x

    Hello

You need to consult a dermatologist or a urologist to diagnose it.

Go talk with your dad. Don't worry or feel embarrassed as these are very common issues for the doctors to deal with.

Hi Aaron, I agree with Lostknight, you need the help of a Medical Specialist - I would suggest a Urologist. You can get to see a Urologist either by a referral via your GP / Family Doctor (try seeing a different one if you do), or you can go along to a GUM Clinic at your local General Hospital. If you are anxious about going along to one, get someone to phone a GUM Clinic for you, or if you live in or near a city, you could get the number of a Sexual Health Service and phone them instead, or as well, and ask how you get a referral to a Urologist, obviously again, ask someone to do this for you if you feel unable to do this yourself.

I say this because from the photo you could potentially have 3 different conditions - none of which are serious, but you do need the Urologist to specify what it is you have going on, and put the correct treatment in place.

The other essential you need to know about is good Penile Hygiene, again I say this because of the way your penis looks in the photo. Every time you urinate you need to clear away all traces of urine from around your pee-hole (meatus), the head of your penis and your foreskin. You do this by washing with water only - never use soap! When you are out of the house you need to go into a toilet cubicle and either use toilet tissue, or carry small paper handkerchiefs with you to gently wipe around the head of your penis.

When you take a shower pull your foreskin forward to cover the head of your penis entirely, wash everywhere else on your body and once you have thoroughly rinsed cleansers like soaps, shower gels and hair shampoo away off of your body - expose the head of your penis and wash with the running water only. You can rub gently with the inside of your hand, taking care not to damage the fragile skin on the head of your penis or your foreskin. You MUST ensure each time you wash your penis that it is completely dry straight afterwards - so when you get out of the shower, pat dry the head area of your penis and foreskin with a clean towel. You should have a towel that only you use on your penis - maybe keep it in your room so others in your house do not use it.

In my opinion having this level of Penile Hygiene is the only way to help your penis to be as healthy as possible for the rest of your life!!! You do not want to get into your Twenties with the head of your penis looking a total mess, as this could well put off potential sex partners, and if you put none of this hygiene in place you could potentially develop severe skin conditions on your penis. Again, this is one of the major reasons you get to see a Urologist now, to head off the possibility of anything bad developing on your penis.

Once you have seen a Urologist it would be good if you can update your Forum Thread here ..... Good Luck ......

I have already seen a urologist and they were not sure about the spot and could not see anything wrong with it. They have taken some photos of it and i have to report it if i see an increase in size however there hasn't.

Do you know if there is a chance of me getting rid of it or am i stuck with it for life? Any creams i can use to try and get rid of it? Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

Aaron, your best guide is what the specialist (Urologist) has said about this. Any means through which you try to get rid of this could cause a far greater problem than you have now. You may see this as a skin imperfection, but unfortunately marks like this are very common on the skin surface, across the human body. The only person who would know whether marks like this can potentially be removed is a Urologist ....
