Location of recurrent outbreaks

I was speaking to a nurse on an STI line and she told me that wherever you had your first outbreak, that's where all recurrent outbreaks will be. I was under the impression that it could happen again in other places. Can anyone share? Do you always get outbreaks in pretty much the exact same place?

From what I've read it can move around that vicinity and usually is in a different place next time like they said if it is on your vag it'll probably move to anus, area next time but I take anything googled with a pinch of salt lol maybe ask your Gp next visit and see what they say I have only had a few random sores since my 1st ob so can't say from experience except they've been in the same place.

Usually it's in the same place or very close by, but over years, it may migrate to other parts within the boxer shorts region.
