i am 13 days post op and had an uncomfortable night
I tried to do too much yesterday and I felt it
I also sometimes find it uncomfortable to wee. Especially in he morning. You may need to see your doc. Drink lots and try to flush out your system. Don't keep it in either. Go as soon as you need to. I got lactulose from doc which worked wonders. I feel better since I got to the toilet. Did you have your ovaries removed? I had terrible headaches until I started to use my hrt

Yes I had ovaries removed ( I'm the one who posted the other day about being very upset about losing them and felt like I d signed my life away) my surgeon not seeing me for another 5 wks when she will discuss HRT don't really want to see the doctor as I think she will have better advice. Think my headaches are due to my sleep patterns, not sleeping for longer than 2 hours at a time since op. One day I feel much better then the next I feel like I m going backwards!

I didn't have a very good day yesterday as so tired and today my scar is sore but I think it's because I ironed by sons shirts last night. Silly I know but it's my own fault.
Let me know how you get on

its HRT. Normally comes in patches or tablets but this is a gel.
I think it may be more expensive as the doctors want me to try tablets or patches but I'm gonna try and stick with this

Just curious to know did you choose that firm if HRT? If you did what made you go for that? I was thinking of patches - estridiol? Do they let you pick your own? X

i have a friend who had a right problem getting the right form of HRT. After trying lots of different types she tried oestrogel and it worked. I had also looked up,on Internet and saw that it had good reviews. So I just asked my surgeon for it befor I left hospital and she gave me a prescription for it. I think if it was up to doctors I would have been offered a cheaper alternative. I am,not saying it would not work but I'm happy with this and think I might have a problem keeping it x

I'm 45, my consultant did originally say that she would remove my ovaries but as they appeared normal I did say I would rather keep them as I couldn't face the menapause symptons alongside recovery, I have no family history of ovarian cancers and my op was for fibroids so I was lucky to have a choice.....however she did warn me that further on if I did have any issues it might be more difficult to remove them.... For me at this time iwaswilling to take the chance... I have have read lots of positive stories oh here though re HRT , it will all settle when your on the right medication x
