Getting nervous about my op.Given the date 12 weeks ago and now only 5 weeks to go .Looking for other ladies with a similar date for their op to follow a recovery plan together.I am also having a large fibroid removed and I have been on a 3 month course of Zoladex and Prostap which I finish this week.

Hi. I'mnot due to go in until 6th May as iI was deleted from list by mistake. Was told early April originally. I'mgoing to have a hysterectomy and ovaries temoved. I know how you feel I'm nervous too. Its only natural. I had investigation and release of ovaries from other organs in November which took me 3 weeks to get over and that was without any organs being removed. All you can do is listen to your body and rest to get better. I took zoladex for one month but couldn't have another dose due to reaction but that will make your op easier as reduces fibroid size doesn't it?. Are you having bikini line cut and are you having ovaries removed? Wishing you all the best but happy to share notes even if not exactly the same time x

I know it really has flown! The first two weeks I could honestly see almost a daily improvement, week 3 was a bit of a down week but now this week things are improving again smile I even cooked a full evening meal last night smile

      Hi Nicola,

Hope that your pre op went well?Your operation is the closest date to mine and also with the fibroids aswell so we are in the same situation at the same time so it will be great to keep in touch. Please forgive me for a couple of weeks if i don't send any messages as i am going through a rough time at the momemt as my Mum is in hospital which is a worry.I am due to go away for a week on Sun and at the moment i don't know how long she will be in for.(At least i am seeing what life on the wards is like these days and some of the food doesn't look too bad either)Iam seeing my doctor today for advice about my op to what i should expect, how long she feels i will probably be off work and whether to have my ovaries removed and generally for a chat as i haven't seen her since last Sept when all this kicked off.I am also having my last Prostap injection today.
