Lorazapam versus another benzo

Posted , 4 users are following.

Getting on 10 mg celexa, using 3 mg a day of lorazapam. Doc wants to up me to 4 mg. Don't really want to go up, celexa seems like it just keeps raising the anxiety. Is there another benzos that works better than lorazapam for stopping the anxiety? Doc mentioned klonopin, and what happens when you switch benzos? I had a bad experience once where I was switched to klonopin, but he didn't give me enough and I went through withdrawls. Anybody knowledgeable with these things? Going to doctor tommorow. Just want the anxiety to be under control. Help

I coukdnt take ssris as anxiety was so high. Diazepam didnt help much. Stopped ssris, felt better without but stuck on benzo. Upping the celexa will increase the anxiety is my view.

Hi.  I agree, when I was taking Lorazepam, I found Citalopram made anxietyworse.  I like Citalopram.  I have taken it for years and on its own its OK for anxiety, but it didnt go well with Lorazepam.  Good luck.
