Hi,
First, sorry for my english, I am French
I am on a diet since 1st august 2016. I lost 33 pounds (2 pound a week). In november my weight loss just stopped. I tried WW and other stuff, I didn't lost anything. People told me my body was on a break because I have lost a lot of pound, my body needed to relax a bit and the lost will come back.
But still now, 7 month later, I haven't lost not even a pound. Plus, I had other symptoms. I was very tired and my intestinal transit stops sometimes for many days so I can not eat and if I do, I have very bad stomach aches and nausea. My digestion is sometimes so slow I can eat something on monday and still feel it on thursday.
I went crazy a month ago and ask my doctor for a blood test. My TSH and my anti thyroid antibodies are very high. My kidneys fonction is very slow as my ovarian function. I have to go back to see the doctor on wednesday.
But I would like to know if with a proper diet and the treatment, I could lose weight? I am just going crazy. If you could see what I eat and I tend to gain weight. I am on obesity i do 4 hours of musculation a week and i have a strict diet but NOTHING!
Thank you very much for your help!

Yes my appointment is with an endocrinologist on wednesday. I think you are right. I should juste give up with the strict diet.
My TSH is at 9.3. I think it may be a problem...I am so stressed about that. Struggling and no result just drives me crazy!
Thx

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in Dec 2013 with a TSH of 8.5.
I started on 75mcg and every blood test I have had it raised by 25mcg to 175mcg.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in Aug 2015 and went through surgery/chemotherapy/double mastectomy. I was told there was nothing I could be given to prevent reoccurrence as my cancer was triple negative and I was advised to reduce weight/exercise regularly/ reduce stress.
I started with dietitian 3 weeks after mastectomy and over next 9 months lost 7lbs!!
I was referred to an endocrinologist who didn't listen or investigate my symptoms properly and just said I should take the diet trial I had been offered or consider bariatric surgery which I won't! She discharged me at first meeting saying she expected the results of thyroid test to come back normal - they didn't (I had swung to hyperthyroid but she discharged me anyway 😬😬😬
My thyroid is now being checked regularly and I am on the counterweight diet program (12 weeks of Cambridge Diet shakes and soups and then reintroduce food, have lost 17.6lbs in 11 weeks) but thyroid levels are on their way back up and weight loss is slowing down
Just want to lose weight!
I swim 4 times per week - I deserve to lose weight!!
