Low energy dip

Hi girls, I'm just going through another menopause energy 'dip'.  I get sooooo tired and everything seems just too much.  My brain struggles to function and work out everyday things.  I keep going and press on but I'm so very tired,  After a couple of weeks it passes and I get back to myself - anyone taking anything herbal or alternative to help with this?  I'm 3 years without periods and just feeling very old and tired.  I've not taken HRT - should I give in now and try it?  Any ideas?

You dont need HRT. You say, in a couple of weeks it passes. Why would you want to take medicines for what is obviously a temporaty dip in energy levels?. Your body will ajust in a short time. Get plenty of sleep, eat well and stay positive. There are many cases where women need HRT. In my opinion, this is not one of them

Try a multivitamin, some CQ10, and Vitamin D3. Many women here also take Menopace, and swear by it,  I think you would be a good candidate for it since it has all the vitamins you need.

If you have got this far, don't try it now because when you stop, you will have to go through all the menopause symptoms again. I take Menopace night, it's wonderful. I hope I am permitted to mention this brand... Keep working out or take a daily walk.  I still get dips, but drag myself back up ?? Stay strong and good luck. Take your daily vitamins calcium, cod liver oil etc.

Hello Tina, I take it for the hot flushes. It helps me in general, I think if you are able to balance your hormones, the other things are also regulated ☺️🌻

Tina, Menopace is all vegetable based. So I doubt there would be any interference with other medicines. However, take them at least 1 hour apart if you do decide on Menopace.

I'm thinking of having a sex change! That may help us womenwink I too experiencing this issue. I went from staying on top of everything to not having any ambition to get anything done and have to push myself to do small chores as I lack ambition. I went to my doc yesterday and he put me on synthroid and another med which I pick up today and, couldn't make out on the bottle. This med is only taken on day 16 and hope this helps. My doc is a gyn and endocrinologist

I think we go up and down until our hormones are balanced. I also find exercise helps, it releases the feel good factor. A sex change might be a little drastic 😉 Good luck with the new meds.

    Hi Ally,

I was coming up to being 3 years post, when I decided enough was enough and tried HRT. I wish I had done it sooner.

I had tried most alternatives, some worked for one thing some for something else.

Amount other reasons if you want to try HRT is there is a window of opportunity that at 3 years post you are getting close to missing. Have a Google around and see if you can find it. But basically starting HRT before you are post or very soon after is better for you than say if you were post 10 years.

I was surprised at just how awful I was and well basically had just got used to.

It's helped considerably with memory depression anxiety heart palpitations sex life etc.

I have had sleep problems for ages and that hasn't changed much except for the first week I was on it, where joy I actually had a full week of normal uninterrupted refreshing sleep.

I'm still more tired than I was before peri started but not as tired as I was before the HRT.

I came to the decision to give it a try for 6 months just to see and was hooked by 3 months I'm not ever going to want to give it up!

      I'm using oestrogel and Utrogestan.

I asked for them after doing some research. Plant based bio identical.

      Hi Colleen,

Oestrogel is a gel you rub into your skin. Utrogestan is 2 pills a day (at night because they are supposed to make you sleepy, I should be so lucky! )

For the first 12 calendar days of each month.
