Lower backache 7 weeks hystectomy A&P vagina repair

Hi there.......I am 7.5 weeks post op for the above repair. I feel good now and most pain abated. I still take things really easy but am doing a little more (not strenuous). However my lower back is aching like mad esp when I walk. I have a deep down feeling it is the way I am walking as I am now tensing up pulling in pelvic floor, and realize that I actually don't quite know how to walk!! Doesn't this sound really daft. I am tensing my lower back in a way as well. However I just want to check to make sure if anyone else has had this same thing with their lower back?

Hi carole,
Sounds like you are doing great. Lower back pain after walking usually means you have overdone the walking and need to rest with feet up.
At 34 weeks post op I till get awful lower back pain after I have been on my feet at work for more than a couple of hours.
I had problems for a few weeks when I was really busy at work on checkout , lots of cases of water and soft drinks going through and as I can't if them and have to push them across the scanner I was doing the squeeze and lift pelvic floor exercises then pushing items through. I think I really overdone the exercises as I went really tight to the point of spasms, and couldn't do the exercises for days afterwards, and again had bad lower back pain which I thought might be due to over exercising pelvic floor muscles.
Have stopped doing so many PFE, and has righted itself. Hope this helps , just a little progress and see how it goes and you will be fine.
Take care,
Phyl x?💖
