Lump in the cheek

Hi guys, i am 28 and found a pea size lump inside my left cheek it feels pain on palpation means touching by finger. 4 months ago i meet a doctor for pain in the neck throat and ear gone through ct scan i was diagnosed with eagles syndrome i.e. my steloid process are enlarged than normal. Dr told me that the pain in several areas is due to enlargement of steloide processes being the veins are suppressed by this enlarged bones. Suggested me a surgery. But due to some issues i was unable to do surgery. About a month ago i found a pea sized lump inside my mouth at was painless at the start there is pain on touching with finger. I was smoker an year before for 9 years. My mother is diagnosed with throat cancer and she is 8n trouble. I am too much afraid of cancer. Fear in my mind is killing me. Please help me. Are there any other possibilities of lump inside the cheek. Plz help
