Lump in Throat Sensation?

After waking up, i got the feeling of a lump in my throat, especially during swallowing. I think the name of it is "globus sensation" . Ehm so. I guess its caused by dehydration, because i went with a dry mouth to bed yesterday and also wake up with a more dry mouth.

After drinking a bit this lump in Throat feeling got better, almost disappeared.

But why do you get the feeling of a lump in thorat, when you are dehydrated? Is it because the mucus is also drying and thats what you feel? a hard, dried, round mucus? And the Mucosa gets maybe rough and inflexible too due to dehydration.
