Magnesium problems .

I've been taking magnesium citrate for a few months now & I don't know if they're doing me any good or harm . I have turned into a real health anxiety fiend .  I go from having constipation to having diarrhoea . Also have little niggly pains that come & go in my side .

Hi Therese, try and drink more water and see if that will help, i use to have that pain myself, and i end up spending a lot of money doing test after test. and then i got myself a water bottle that hold 3L of water, and i try and drink that each day and sometimes more and that seems to help. so maybe you will want to try that.

    I get that too Therese.

You know magnesium makes you go when you are constipated. Maybe it’s contributing to the diarrhea.

Therese I have Health anxiety really really bad, plus all those other little pains and a few other things.

I’m not consistent in taking my magnesium, and actually haven’t had any in like two months.

I’m not knowledgeable about whether or not magnesium can “cause” these things but if it helps, I have them anyways lol

The best type of magnesium to take is glycinate it doesn't cause the runs as it is easily absorbed by the body ..its good for anxiety and a great aid to help muscles relax and taken at bedtime helps with sleep I take 400 mg each day 200 in the morning and 200 at bedtime

I wonder the same thing. I have been experiencing horrible health anxiety also. I have been taking the glycinate form of magnesium but I don't know if it's helping or hurting. I've been feeling so sluggish in the morning and now I'm wondering if it's the magnesium. I may start taking it at night. I am also getting little pains on my rights side. I feel it from the back but sometimes in the front. I've actually been getting aches that move all around. I've doubled my d3 just yesterday and I hope it is helping. Ugh! I want to feel normal. I don't even know if I am perimenopause or not because I'm only 41 but I definitely can tell that my hormones have shifted over the last year. Anyways, Therese you are not alone!
