Maintained weight

I went for a weigh in , 5 weeks since last weigh in.

I've been taking just 2 tablets a day as my nurse requested. The last few days have been bad though -

Friday Last day at work for the summer people decided to order Fish & Chips I ate half.

Saturday We went to a continental market with my daughter I chose carefully and ate a simple rice cooked in herbs with grilled chicken but did eat a coconut macaroon but considering all the delicious food and cakes, chocolate covered icecream, fruit and sweets and did well. Sat evening Daughter's birthday treat pizza ordered I ate half of one and 8 small potato wedges.

Sunday Family bbq I ate a small burger, small chicken drum stick, small piece of pork and drank a bottle & half of wine

I didn't tell the nurse about this but I thought considering I'd cut done to two tablets a day (none over the last three days) I did well to maintain my weight of 79 Kilos. So if I'd not had the last few days perhaps I'd have lost some. I don't think early mornings appeal to my nurse (.my weigh in was 7 0'clock), I had to ask for my prescription and she requested I cut down to one a day and she added that if I don't lose I wont be allowed thw tablets anymore  I've got to go back in three weeks

How's eveybody else doing?

It must be hard when the doctor is threatening to take the pills away, I guess they do it with the right intentions to try and motivate you but it's a bit disheartening when you've clearly lost well with them.

I also fell off the wagon last week, was working away on Weds and decided not to take them as we had dinner out, still chose carefully (chicken & tomato based dinner) but then had cooked breakfast ( so didn't take them again), then fell in to snacking and at the weekend bought biscuits and chocolate and ate them all over Sat and Sun (so still didn't take them!)

So today I have woken with new resolve and started back on the pills and doing it properly! Sad geeky girl that I am I'd done myself a chart to track progress and I've gone from being way ahead of target to falling a pound behind!

Let's get back on it and blitz it this week............ :D

if you cut down to one tablet a day then it's only going to work on that meal and not on anything else.

Go see your GP and tell them you are not happy with the info the nurse is giving you as everyone else on this forum are taking 3 a day with their main meals.

She wanted to take them off me before but I pointed out the other nurse had looked it up in this book and the cut off point was a BMI of 30 but it stated if I had problems like high blood pressure or was diabetic I could stay on them until my BMI was 28 so when I pointed out I have high cholestral she said it was ok to stay on them as it was stated in my notes. She looked in this book, which had since been updated, which said you can stay on them up to 2 years as long as you were losing so she gave me another precription but then when I went again she said as you are nearing the end I want you to cut down to two a day. She pointed out I'd plataued but may start losing again but I don't get how if she's withdrawing the tablets! She said I've done really well and maybe that will be my weight or I might lose some more. My body is obviously still toning up (with the help of the walks with my dog) as people still make comments about me losing and like i said before I tried on a size 14 zip up skirt in the sale (only because they didin't have a larger size) and it fitted BUT that doesn't alter the fact that I'm still in the over weight catergory - Don't get wrong I don't want to be a stick insect but I'm still 1 stone 10 lbs over weight and in the obese part on the chart! I used to like her but I'm going off her now. I'm going to have to work really hard to try and lose some more but I doubt I can do it with only one tablet a day. It's hard to know what is going to be my main meal and what I'm going to eat with it being the holidays I'm not gonna always have the control of what I eat and if I'm not sure of the fat content (especially if somebody else has prepared the food I often don't take the tablet) so if that happens it will be another day without a tablet!

You're not the only one who's done a chart - I've used excel and put done how much i weighed, BMI, how much I weighed after each weigh in and total lost altogether.

It was just bad luck that all three things came together and just before my weigh in.

One pound off target is not bad you'll soon catch up
