I had a knee replacement 3 months ago and my knee wouldn't bend so I had a manupulation I was so scared because I was told how painful it was it wasn't bad at all and I have lots more movement in my knee I would tell anyone who needs one to get it. It improved my mobility so much.

I'm 76 and my knee which had OA before hip replacement is now worse since .new hip job...body becomes out of alignment with new parts, and OFTEN leg(s) become shorter....some complain of longer.... I had hip done in late 2010.
I can bend my knees and doing everything within my power to NOT do replacement of knees.....just can't go thru that, the thought makes me shudder.
We have an MD on our radio here on weekends, I'm in Southern Calif., and he says as long as one can bend knee, there is cartlidge there...
Doing these knee replacements, our knees are gutted of everything, cartlidge included.....do you feel this is true.
I take collagen supplements and acupuncture and thinking about Prolotherapy for the worst knee, Prolo is a protocol where in injections of solutions are injected to HELP rebuild tissue and strengthen ligaments and tendson and hence strenthen knee.
There are 3 type solutions: dextrose, the mildest; PRP (plasma rich platlets) where your own blood is taken from arm and spun and platlets removed and injected in problem joints...and stem cells are the latest form and allegedly the MOST effective and most costly. Insurance does not pay YET....if it ever will can't say.... This is called regenerative therapy.
