When you're suffering from depression and anxiety you can't imagine it will ever go away, because you're right in the depths of it all and can't see a way out. The medication works so slowly, you hardly notice it happening, but I started to notice short times when I felt fine, and then it would disappear again. This would happen more and more, and sometimes it was longer when I felt fine. It happened more if I was doing something really enjoyable like a dance class or something - afterwards I think 'oh I hadn't actually thought of 'it' for a whole hour!'
Its very frustrating feeling anxious all the time and seems relentless. The medication sometimes works slower for some people, and others find relief much quicker.
I'd just say to keep on with the medication, carry on as normal and you should find the anxiety easing in time. It was 3-4 months for me and by 6 months I felt quite rested.
