menopause

6yrs ago I started having these horrible attacks the only way I can describe them is like a hot flash but for a few seconds I don't no where I am, it can happen at any time then when they've finished I'm left feeling utterly sad and not wanting to do anything this lasts a few days them I'm ok for a while then it starts all over again. As anybody else experienced anything like this, I still have the odd period now and again.

Peri has all sorts of strange symptoms. I sort of recall feeling that way after having a hot flash but had about 10 a day, such that i was left drained. Evenings were worst. But 6 years since you've been having this is a long time. Are you on medication?

Hi, I've tried hrt that didn't suit me, herbal remedies you name it I've tried it and nothing stops them. I'm on antidepressants but I'm still having them and they effect my life so much. Mydoctors done all the tests even had an mri scan they all came back ok.

Oh you poor thing. Did you try flax seed oil? That was the one that finally calmed my hotflashes. Maybe Macca too should help. Don't give up.

Same here. WHY is it that doctors are so keen to fob you off with antidepressants? I said to mine, if you had not slept properly in MONTHS, ached in every joint and went into melt-down several times a day, YOU'D BE DEPRESSED!
