I get a fluttery feeling in throat/thyroid area, feels kind of like heart palps, it's only for 1-2 seconds.

Hi Lisa. I don't take any sort of therapy for hormones. My sister had breast cancer 5 years ago. So I am afraid that any kind of hormone therapy will greater my chances of getting cancer

Hi to all you beautiful ladies. I have red each of the comments and it seems like all of us are battling with the heart palp issue. So am I. To give myself an ease of mind I went for a stress ECG. I have notices that when having these heart palps the anxiety levels sky rocket. I have started a "anxiety diary" to help me cope with symptoms, and since I have gone for the ECG and the results where normal, I ticked that off my list and can now tell my mond that this is just part of peri symptoms which helps a lot with the anxiety. I too statrted taking calcium and magnesium supplements and are also using xanor for anxiety. My palputations is still regular but not as bad as it use to be.
All of this is not a fun ride - we get hot flashes, and mine to are coming from my stomach, up to my neck and shoulders into my face, and then the shaking, all of these that mumick anxiety, then the heart palputations, then the anxiety and that even worsens the palps.
I am trying to keep a positive mind and all of these symptoms are scary as hell, but it helps a lot reading all of these comments and realising that a lot of us suffer similar symptoms.
Let us keep faith - we are strong and we will see the light at the end of the tunnel soon. I am going for CBT therapy as well, and this seems to help a lot to teach your mind to relax and breathing exersises to ease the anxiety. It was suggested too that I take anti-depressants. I tried it out for 7days and really felt crapy. I have stoppedd taking any caffiene drinks, cut out my sugar and even eating less gluten products. Next step will be to investigate what type of excersise regime to follow.
This is hell, but we will survive.
Thank you all for sharing yout thoughts.
