So glad you think enough of your Aunt to want to know

Be patient, the menopause can be a truly horrendous time for some of us cry

Aching all over, sometimes I feel like I've been hit with a truck, headaches, weight gain, no energy (please don't think she's being lazy)

and then there's anxiety, depression and mood swings, exaggerated  PMT sad

I could go on for ages about it all Shelby but you can read up on most of this stuff yourself, my allergies developed this summer too

but what I can do is ask you to support someone who's going through a tough time,

hugs, kindness and ignore the new strange (unlike her) behaviours which may have developed,

    COMPASSION is the word

and good luck as it's hard for everyone at this time wink

My shoulder pain has gone on for 3 years so yes it's normal. You must be a lovely niece to care about her so much as to write on here. Well done and just be patient with her.

Hi Shelby, I just replied to your first post so check there too. I'm 50 and I've had lots of shoulder pains during the run up to menopause (I still have periods but more irregular now). Depression and anxiety are also very common, so is rage! I remember my mother going through it and the moods and tears were off the scale, she is nearly 80 now and has forgotten how bad it was!

Just try to be patient with her and don't take the moods personally, let her rant if she must and know it's not about you it's what's going on in her body.

    Hi shelby60887

I suffer the same aches in the elbow and shoulder so she is not alone. I'm not sure what to do about it have been to the DR and she is sending me for a scan to check for tendon damage / injury but seems its just the menopause as others have it aswell as you and me.  Take care xx
