Menopause reflux flare up

I saw the GI doctor today he said my reflux flare up is coming from the menopause and stress. He said things should get better in the next couple months but for me to continue to workout to control the stress

Hi Sebrina.  Im having that same problem.  It seems as if the gastro issues are the worst of my symptoms.  I've suffered with them off and on for about 1 1/2 years.  My GI Doctor says the same thing....he said he pays his bills with the number of menopausal and peri menopausal women he sees with these symptoms.  It's kind of reassuring to me that he says that although I hate that so many women suffer from this.  I'm having a few tests done...just to be on the safe side, and more for my own reassurance and peace of mind.  When I have a flare up I go from feeling like I have too much acid to feeling like I have not enough....I feel full easily and it feels like it takes hours for the food to leave my stomach.  Frustrating!   I hope you are able to  manage your stress and your reflux clears up quickly!
