i know exactly how it feels I've suffered 40 years and hoping when menopause finally arrives they will go away!
i find if its a mild one soluble a aspirin helps along with anti sickness med. Otherwise it's a tripan and I take low dose amitryp daily. I always take painkillers along with a black coffee and a glass of iced water, failing that lie down in a dark room till it passes! There's loads of trip tans to try and there's sure to be one that helps you.

i wrote on here a few days ago about my migraines I think on the joint pain thread. I have a similar experience but take prescribed prophylactic meds as well as rizatriptan wafers at the onset. Although I've had most of them, these wafers are the best ones for me. Mornings are my worst time as I wake up with pain & when they're off the scale & Im vomiting, I can't get out of bedroom, the pain is unreal. When it's that bad I can't even keep, water down. Going down a sliding scale, those being my worst I would generally keep to,peppermint t & as I love my coffee, I would only b able to drink coffee as I'm on the way out of the migraine as the meds tend to react a bit to caffeine. In terms of food, I don't have trigger foods so that's not an issue for me, when I can eat I eat whatever I want,if I think it may make me feel better! You're not alone, I've been like this since my v early 40s tho I've had migraines & headaches all my life just never to this severity or frequency. I'm 53 now. It is worth speaking to your GP about it though, if it's interfering with your life.... surely it's worth a discussion. Take care & good luck
