I've been on 20mg of citalopram for 6 years which doesn't really do nothing for me, today I went to see my doctor and was prescribed 15 mg of mirtazapine today take with the citalopram as I've been very anxious and depressed lately and really fed up of feeling like this! I'm looking forward to taking this new medication at bed time tonight. Has anyone or is anyone else on citalopram and mirtazapine together? And how has it worked for you?

I've never taken cialopram but I was put on mirtazapine to get me through benzo withdrawal. It started working on my anxiety the very first night I took 15mg. It was a lifesaver for me.
I learned to take it no earlier than about 45 minutes to an hour before I wanted to be asleep. If I took it too early I would eat everything in the house. Before I figured that part out, I remember a few nights was out of groceries and I literally mixed powdered sugar, butter and vanilla together and eating it out of a bowl—that's how strong the sweets cravings were for me.

I just feel too anxious to eat, I will have my dinner and that's it, I do feel sick usually but that's because of my anxiety, anyway I took my mirtazapine last night and it was some hard too get up this morning to get my little one ready for school I dropped him off came back and made myself do some housework then went to sleep for 3 hours and I just feel so tired! I've had breakfast and dinner today plus snacks because the mirtazapine makes you feel so hungry! A lot of my anxiety has gone I still feel depressed and really tired
