I tried mirtazapine a couple of years ago and I believed it a causing my legs to convulse at night as I went to sleep. But was only on it 2 weeks and at the time I was on a fair bit of drugs as well.
My psych has recommended I try it again. Does anyone know if this is a common side effect?

Hi Ted - I've been on mirt @ 30mgs and then 45 mgs for10 years. No real side effects , except a bit of weight gain. AD meds typically take 3-6 weeks to function fully and as you state you were on other drugs it might have been a cross-reaction. You could try it at low dosage and see what happens. Good luck.

hi ted, i wouldn't take it again if you reacted to it the 1st time. say no to it and say you'd like something you can't react to.
