Hi Mandy, when my thyroid is low, one thing that I use to recognize it, is I start crying. Surely the whole thyroid drama us enough to make anyone moody, as its exhausting and frustrating to deal with on every level.

Mandy, you don't mention what sort of treatment you are receiving, but I would assume your doctor or endocrinologist has you on medication? This works well for some but not for all, and it can take several weeks to show results.

Your problem with mood swings is not uncommon. I have found that Atevan can help on a bad day, so you could ask your doctor about it.

Educate yourself about the condition. Understand the blood tests that are done periodically. Dr Google and Wikipedia will find the information for you.
