Hi, I've recently had my meds changed to a higher level of Sertraline and I wondered, has anyone else had increases in their tablets and yet now feel more depressed? Can't quite work it out, maybe I'm more depressed anyway but I thought things would start to show signs of improvement, but instead I feel much lower. The only thing I can say is that I don't seem as emotional as I was.
Can't figure things out and really am sick of being this way.
Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks for listening

I was/have been prescribed to sertaline before, But after being given them because they were stronger I thought I was only being given them because I was not getting better, hence the stronger pills.
So, maybe I made the wrong decision but I stopped taking them right away, Infact I even stopped taking the previoulsy prescribed pills. If you ask me they do nothing at all apart from make it easier to hide your feeling, and i'm already doing that so i don't need to be doing it any more!
What did I do to make me feel some what better? I started to walk and cycle, yes it was alone but it gives me some relief and helps me to get those feeling i'm trying to hard to hide out without losing control of them...
The fact you dont feel so emotional could be two things, the tablets are working, or you're actually handling those emotions better than before! Hope it's the latter one but both are good news!
I wish you all the best and hope you are soon feeling very well!
Regards, Ellis.

I was on 15mg then 30mg then 45mg of mittazapine. On the low doses it helped me sleep. When put on the higher doses the sedative part didn't work. So I had to split the dose into two. Half at night and half in the day
It works and keeps me Stable ( sounds terrible that)
Xxx

I do think for a while things do get worse before they get better. I think when things aren't looking up as quick as we had hoped, then we sink a little lower. Then we have a ok day and it brings us a little higher.....My ok days are few but when they do come, they seem to be a little bit more ok than the last ok day...Hoping that means that things are looking up xxx

The trouble is when I get too upset my thoughts tend to run to suicide so blunting is better than that. Give the meds more time to kick in and you might start feeling a whole lot better. x
