Hi, I suffer from morning anxiety my dr started me on Lexapro 10 mg 4 days ago and I feel it has been worse my heart is racing the minute I wake up. It’s hard to get my day started I have to take a xanex to be able to function. Will this get better???

Yes! It will get better. These meds can cause worsened anxiety when you start them. And also with each dose increase. The side effect will then go away. Lexapro takes 6-8 wks to show its maximum effects. So try & be patient. I’m on 20mgs for 7 weeks now. I feel your pain!
