Does anyone else have the jitters and feel super anxious when they first wake up???
Never had this prior to perimenopause, so I'm assuming it's all hormonal???

Hi klm
Yes, I often wake up like you. Anxious and with a feeling of inner tremors. It comes and goes depending on how stressed and anxious I am.
All these peri symptoms has left me with health anxiety - I overthink every single symptom, google when it's very bad and end up believing I have a deadly disease. When I'm in that state, I also wake up anxious...
I hope you find relief - you're not alone!

oh yes I'm terrible in the morning, sometimes it can feel like my whole body is trembling and then I feel so anxious about everything. I suffer from anxiety anyway but since the menopause its been really bad, especially anything to do with health. I have been told that anxiety can be worse during the menopause and taking suplements can help. Sometimes when I wake up feeling really anxious I listen to a morning meditation and that can help calm the nerves.

I've been having this lately, too. I hate it! I've tried switching to tea instead of coffee, deep breathing, etc. and nothing really seems to help. I've had this over the past year here and there, which makes me think it's connected to hormones. Never had anything like it until peri.
