Mornings...make me feel crazy from all the ups and downs

Does anyone feel like they are going crazy from all the ups and downs? I guess it's just all the negative thoughts of the meds not working and the morning is the worse!

Yes I am the same, I'm just about ready to give up, I'm in my 5th week now and still feel so anxious in the mornings which ruins the rest of my day sad

Monday will make four weeks for me. I feel like crying a lot and sometimes I'll have a good hour or two here and there but then I come back to reality and get anxious all over about being stuck like this forever. I feel so tired all the time and spaced out. I'm also grumpy feeling. sad

I am in my fifth week two. I must say that when I am distracted I do not realize my anxiety..and good times are more often I must admit that...there are times when I feel down but I feel that they are subsiding...I don't know about you but I am going to work all the time...it's seems that the pills are working but as I see from the people discussing here it takes full six months for fully recover from everything...

I will stick with 20mg per day and persevere...

I literally was forcing myself to distract...

I wish you all the best....

It really is a matter of time only. You will get better than this. This is just a side effect. It will lessen and it will go in time. The meds are such small doses they build up over time and when the levels are right...the side effects all but disappear. I'm almost there...almost!!

I now have 3 good days for each bad and it's getting better.

I hope this helps in some way... I kept reading about a magical day when it feels like the clouds have lifted... I have had this. .I have had more than one...then a bad day comes and seems to spoil it all.

      Hey - ho!

    Like Ricoh said.....

I totally agree....it must be very slow process of recovering...

    Let's be patient...

Yes the mornings were the worst for me too I found them really overwhelming but......8 weeks on flux & I am feeling so much better no anxiety at all & the depression is just about gone. I suffered really awful side effects ie naseau, dizziness, no appetite, weight loss, dizziness, crying but I'm just about myself now. Stick with it if you can because when it starts working it's fab & you get your life back. I don't know how I would of got through the 1st 4 weeks if it hadn't been for this forum but just like you I nearly stopped with flux but so glad I didn't . Good luck & keep coming on this forum because there is always somebody on here to pick you up when the going gets tough xx

Thank you so much. I just found out I'm pregnant and I'm scared to death because I can't stop the med I'm scared I'd go crazy. I'm even more up and down because of the hormones. I guess that's why I've been worse the past two weeks but I don't want to up the meds sad they say prozac is the safest to take during pregnancy but it still worries me.

      Hi

I'm getting better every week hardly any side effects now except for tiredness & sometimes a flat feeling but that is getting better. If I go out I only have 2 glasses of wine & I top them up with lemonade as I cannot tolerate the alcohol anymore & it makes me feel worse the next day so not really worth it. How are you doing now? X

Thank you guys! I guess each morning just gets me with the negative thoughts! I have to agree I do better when I'm distracted and I am working a lot which helps because I'm not constantly sitting there thinking about it. Next week we are spending Florida at Disney world for vacation. I'm hoping it will help distract me and I'll have one more week under my belt smile until then I'm just trying my best each day and praying each day gets better and better. I just want to be my old self again like any of us!

Hey Nicole, maybe try switching  the time of day you take your tablet. That might help. My son felt really bad initially and was taking it in the am, and switched  to night  which  was better.  he has switched between am/pm a few times and it is definitely different, and it made a big difference in  the beginning when he was feeling terrible.

I thought about trying that it makes me a little sleepy so I've been taking it before bed but I may try to change it to morning and see if it makes a difference. How long did he do it for a few days to notice ?

He noticed a difference almost immediately, but I guess it took about a week for slightly differnt symptoms he'd noticed to go away/ reduce ,for example, taking at might, he was grinding his teeth and it was keeping him awake. Daytime he felt slightly nauseous and dizzy. He is taking it in the mornings now though and it seems better.
