Hello my name is abigail. I have been ill for three years i was diagnosed with hypothyroidism . But now ive inherited ms on top of that. I want to ask if someone can give me some advice. My muscles in my body have gone even though i use to run ten miles per day. My speech sounds like i am drunk. I choke on the smallest of food. My legs do not do what i want them to do. The sweating is herrendous . My breathing is very bad. ( dont smoke or drink.) always feel like i am getting flu. . I would like to know what do other people do to cope . Somedays i feel like im fighting a health war but not getting far . Thank you .

Hello sounds like some of your issues are ms, choking, muscles and some are thyroid (my friend has thyroid, went from hypo to hyper) and some both sad I use hypnotherapy it helps with choking and spasms my mum was referred to speech therapist for her choking, see if your Dr/health centre has a support group. You will learn yourself which symptom belongs to what illness in time but others may help. Even specialists disagree. I feel for you its bad enough with ms but when you get something else sad well ms is a bit like a spiteful person it likes to join in. Good luck and dint despair they're getting new treatments all the time x

Hi Abigail, reading your text was like reading about myself!! I was just at doctors today for choking as it scares me and I can hardly get my tablets down now! She's now sending me for the tube down throat, but I think it's the ms hug that does this to me as I can hardly breathe when this happens! So weird eh x
