My clearance Dr wants my GYN to send him a copy of my pap smear results.

I don't see why on earth he would need a copy of my pap smear? I need that for a PNR. My surgeon did not have that listed on the paperwork. Can I say no? My paps smears are all normal but I feel uncomfortable about it. Has anyone needed one to get your knee fixed?

Hi I have not had the surgery but would still wonder as to why surgeon would require that info, but wondering if he's checking to make sure you have no infections?? As surgery can be complicated by infection, I think you should ask your GP or surgeon why its needed

Thats crazy! I didn't need that for knee replacement Pre op or any other surgery I've had.

Blood work & ekg Is all aside of the norm X-rays or MRI of your knee! That's very odd! I've had a lot of issues and even back procedures and other surgeries and never has any specialist asked that . Yes I would ask why and since when does ortho ask for that.

I have never heard of the before. I would ask him why he needs it, he might want to make sure you have no cervical cancer. But that is a litle off if you ask me , i have had 4 surgerys on my knee never asked that

Seems a bit odd to ask for that.  Mention it to your GP?
