I am so different than I used to be.  So very tired , not interested in anything, my job has become very difficult as I cannot focus.  I am really starting to get worried.

Have you tried taking a b12 (I use sublingual methycobalmin lozenges) either take first thing in the morning, or if you suffer an afternoon 'crash' take an hour before that.

Try not to worry. I am too am very different and my family was really worried also. I ended up resigning from my job because I couldn't focus and my anxiety was awful. I know how you feel. I've been there and it is hard but you will get through it. Try B12 if you can. It should help give you some energy.

That happened to me with my job, i started making so many mistakes due to brain fog, i felt it best not to go back after 2 months of sick leave, before my confidence got me to the point where, someone noticed and hauled me over the coals for it, couldnt let that happen when thats totally not me, I still havent been able to go back due more to crashing fatigue, im a lot better than i was, but i have to be so much more careful now on, how much i exert myself, or, i crash along with which then, turns the head to mush!!

The anxiety was getting the better of me and I couldn't understand where it was coming from. I had so many things happening that i didn't know which way to turn. I was so stressed out. I had a bad anxiety attack at work but my potassium was low again and I ended up back at the ER. I went back to work after that but I was embarrassed a little, everyone seemed generally concerned but they were whispering and trying to figure out what was wrong with me. It was terrible. I just couldn't focus or sit still and I out so much for feeling crazy so I just resigned. I've gotten a lot better with controlling the anxiety a little bit, but I not comfortable enough to go back just yet.

Good advice re b12. Have a look for more advice re vitamin and mineral supplements. Also worth getting your thyriod levels checked. X

    Hi mjlizard,

I know exactly how you feel. I am in Perimenopause and doctors treated me with Mritazapine, which i am coming off of now. I am not sure whether my numbness comes from Peri or the Mirtazapine. I was fine 2 years ago before anxiety, insomnia and nausea hit me one day. Also i don't know whether the nausea is from peri or mirt or some emotional problem. I am also totally disinterested in my job and everything is overwhelming at work and at home. I've lost my spark and i need it back badly. I am researching on Rhodiola i saw on this thread somewhere. I have a host of other symptoms as well, which will take longer to explain but my blunted emotions bother and worry me a lot. I wish i could give you some helpful tips. My body rejected all hormonal supplements and i reacted very adversely to them. But ADs didn't help either except with sleep, anxiety most of the time and nausea.

Yes all the changes are hard to track and trying to take care of one sometimes causes another.  I'm hoping since I went right into menopause it will finish up quickly and not linger  sad
