Then couple months no bleed but passed small clots for 7 days .This last monthly no bleed passed small clots 4 days. Has anyone experienced this before during peri?I am 45 and began peri at 41 . i take no meds. I have peri symptoms. Do I count these as periods its so confusing?

Hi Dizzy, Fom what I understand and have experienced during peri, there is no "normal!" biggrin  Before peri my cycles were like clockwork- every 30 days. When peri started they got shorter and shorter, down to 18 days. Some were normal flow, others light and only 2-3 days. Then I would spot between periods. In the last couple of years my cycles got longer and longer. I would cramp, bloat, have pms and migraines and then my period would consist of only spotting  for a few days. During the last 6 months I would cramp mildly, then when I'd wipe after using the bathroom I'd have a light pink spot and then, nothing. This month, my period has been a small amount of  bright spotting with very small clots for 2 days. My cycles have gotten very long too, like from 45-60 days between periods. I've been using a period tracker on my phone for years but  have gotten so confused about what to count as a period as opposed to just spotting! Now, I just record my spotting, symptoms and moods on my period tracker and really don't know what to record as being a "period" vs. just spotting.

      Hello

Your story really looks like mine. I can't use my period tracker on my phone because I don't know what is a period or not.

My last real period was in March since that time I've had spotting a few days then blood again 15 weeks later and today I've been bleeding everyday for one month but not proper blood, only blood when I wipe after using the bathroom.

My breast didn't hurt me anymore but it's been hurting again for 2 weeks .

I'll see my doctor next week. I'm 52 in August.

      I hope it's Peri because sometimes I can't help worrying .

Thank you for answering Sue. But I've read that long lasting bleeding can be abnormal. It's a bit worrying don't you think?

Yes if you are worried definitely smart to see a Dr. always. Heavy bleeding can be a problem I didnt mean to make light of it. I just wanted to express how abnormal flow becomes the normal. At least in my case.

      Thank you.

I don't want to have any hormonal treatment so I think it will be easier for me to cope with this when ill make sure everything is fine.

I'm really glad I found this site. L looked on the French forum's but ladies aren't as helpful as on the English site .

      Thanks a lot

Welcome. I chose not to do hormonal treatment either. Then anxiety got bad so i started using a synthetic hormonal cream. Its topical made from yams that helped me calm down and all my symptoms calm down a little. Rub right onto the skin.

I wanted to try the Dr Lee cream.

He wrote a book about natural treatment for menopause and he recommends this cream
