Hello All,

My Mom is 67 and she is diabetic from last 15 years.. Currently she takes insulin three times a day before food and at the bedtime.. from last two months she is suffering from UTI infection. it is a continues episode of UTI.. every two weeks she gets infection. After taking antibiotics she will be fine for two weeks, later she gets shevering and when the test is done we find infection.. Since she got UTI for four times now. Our doctor did CT and found pus formation in Kidney. Now they have place a DJ Stenting so they can drain the pus out. She got discharged from hospital on 13th June and now it's third week and she is getting symptoms of UTI once again..(like shevering, fever) though the doctors have placed stenting and gave high end antibiotics. It's not helping her to cure.. After her surgery doctor suggested to take Injection ERTAPENEM IG IV for one week followed by TAB NITROFURANTOIN 100MG for one week. So after surgery first two weeks she has taken antibiotics, it's not even four days that we have stopped antibiotics she now getting symptoms of UTI like shevering ever day from yesterday. Today doc have suggested to do CBC and Urine routine to check the infection count.. we live India Bangalore.. can any one please advise how we can stop this or advise UTI specialist doctors around Bangalore.. that would be a great help..

Also if any one have gone through this and if they have overcome from this situation.. please advise to save my Mom from this infection.
