    Hi there.

I think you need a progesterone and/or oestrogen level check via a blood test, and then they can tell you more.

So please do see your GP.

I agree with you Respecthealth, I beleive a blood test (for oestrogen and  anemia) should be taken as soon as possible.

The ovulation of the enquirer and "bleed" may be light, beause the body does not want to lose too much blood if the result is too little iron in the blood stream.   Do you feel dizzy or unwell during the length of the menstruation?

The dizziness would be caused by the lack of the oxygen to the brain, if you are losing blood; but these are usually associated with "heavy" bleeding.

Are you eating a balanced diets, which includes vitamins (particularly B group) milk, potatoes and red meat?

All of these carry iron and in turn would reduce the anemia.

These are only guesses, but the first thing to do is to see your doctor and possibly a gynaecologist following the visit to your doctor.

As a final thought, are you finding yourself getting out of breath if you exert yourself, even if it jusy lifting a heavy bag and walking up the stairs with it?

Providing you are not asthamatic, then I would suggest that the muscles are not being supplied with enough oxygen, which is carried by the red cells in the blood-stream.  Not only do the red blood cells carry oxygen, they also carry iron to support the liver and kidneys.

One other thing that could be an indication that you may be moving towards menopause (although it seems unlikely at the age of 33) would be if yout cycle being irratic and the periods shifting around the days of the month when you exepect them.

Eithere way, doctor should be first port of call.

      All the best.

      Chris R.
