My tongue leans to the right when my mouth is closed. Is this bad?

A couple years ago, I noticed that whenever my mouth is closed my tongue goes to the right side and rests against my teeth. Whenever I say /s/ or /z/ sounds, I bite my tongue. I thought it would go away but it's only gotten worse. The only way I can avoid biting my tongue is to pretty much smile but that looks weird if I wasn't smiling in the first place. I've had a lateral lisp that was barely noticeable for a few years now, but this issue has made it even worse, to the point everyone notices. Has anyone had this before and/or knows what it is?
