Today is my 9th day after my fibroids operation but on my 5th day I started my period which was painful and blood clot. Is that normal or what guys? I was expecting to feel less pain and not bleed heavy. Can anyone tell me if u had similar situation and then the next one was better. The period feels the same like before and am worried now.

Not to worry! My period was actually on doing my surgery and it was of course heavier due to the the procedure. I’m currently 4 weeks post myomectomy so my period just went off and it was sooooooooo light! Literally only lasted 3 days and it wasn’t heavy at all. Which is great compared to the 8-10 days it would last before surgery. See what happens the next go around

I'd say this is normal, don't forget your body has been through a lot and it will take a few months to settle down into a more natural rhythm.

I came on 2 days after my operation and it was more painful and my hormones were all over the place. I was pretty miserable but the nurses reassured me it was normal. I'm now several months post op and my periods are so much lighter and  my PMS is less severe.

So, hang in there and give your body time to adjust. I hope you have a speedy recovery! X
