But from what iv seen on here, people who get rid of their crutches seem to end up in more pain or limp and so on

But im glad you will listen to my advice.
But it is hard to take a slow recovery especially if yoyr impatient like me and just want to be up and doing stuff, but if you keep in your mind, if you follow instructions you will be living a better life soon

My op is on Jan 21st. I can't wait though. And as long as the op is not delayed, I hope to miss the worst of the winter by being indoors.
12 Operations. You poor thing. No wonder you are keen to get back up and out.
I dare not pry but am curious.....

Whooo not long till yours. How long you been waiting? Yeah i hope they dont delay it, thats the worst. And yeah hopefully the weather stays as it is for you

I have lived with this since my 20s but did not realised it until last year. I thought it was normal. It was only on a routine visit to my GP, that he sent me for an x-ray. Initially I was told I was too young. After a second opinion, I was granted an operation. woo hoo. And now I can not wait. I have one week of work and then I should be off for three months.

Recently iv be struggling to sleep for months. I was wondering if a lot of pre oppers were having the same issue?

I am 53 and my surgery is Feb 3 RTHR and i cannot wait as sleeping is getting worse for me also.

My surgery is kind of my birthday present (Feb 7) lol
My wish will be to recover well and of course quickly :-)
Hope you get yours soon and we will both might get good night sleeps :-)
