Nausea just got way worse! What is the cause? What to do?

Hi everyone!
I am a student who frequently has nausea, which is currently labeled by my doctor as dyspepsia. I am taking desipramine for it (which is strange because it is an anti-depressant).
Recently, however, I have had increased nausea and constantly feel as if I am going to vomit, although I have NOT vomited yet. I also feel as if I have a low grade fever, am dizzy a lot of the time, and have constipation due to the desipramine. I also have not been getting too much sleep lately due to my anxiety and my roommate waking me up at night >
This increased nausea has lasted for 2 days now. Could it be due to an illness? I have not vomited nor have I had diarrhea yet. I also am prone to anxiety and my birthday is coming up.
Please someone help me crack the case! Is it gastroenteritis, norovirus, food poisoning, sleep deprivation, or all caused by anxiety?
Also, what should I do?

All can be caused by anxiety, however your doctor thinks you are just scared about yourself because you have said "gastroenteritis" word or other difficult words to your doctor or you explained your symptoms a lot and you are young, I think you should probably change your doctor

Hi chronic nausea is due to many factors: a gallbladder does is not working properly, bile or acid reflux, bacterial infections, etc. Anti depressents calm down the nerves of stomach but they don't cure the problem. Have you tried something more natural like ginger tea for nausea? Meantime try stay calm and try to see your doctor to find out exactly what is the cause. Good luck xx
