Hi ,

I'm nearly 3 weeks post laproscopic sacrohysteropexy and have a heavy feeling in pelvis and still getting really tired. Is this normal? Also I had a bath at 2 weeks as I thought hospital said that would be ok but now worried that it was too soon. Sorry to be a pain

I was told no soaking in bath till six weeks. Tiredness and heavy feeling is normal for up to six, seven weeks. Some people are lucky and sail through surgery

Hi Sarah ! I think it depends on the stitches used as to what advice they give you re baths. Matron advises no baths for 6 weeks as it makes stitches soggy. I was told I could have a bath after 2 weeks and I did but I never stayed in for very long as it did worry me. I think if you can cope with showers do that just to be sure.

Heaviness, aching, feeling of pressure all seem to be normal things we have all complained about lol

As I always say 3 weeks is very early days and you will feel very tired. Your body has been through a lot and it is now using all reserves to heal ! Rest as much as you can and listen to your body xx
