So my test came back that HSV 2 was detected. i have come to terms with this..Sorta kinda. I havent told anybody, seeing as we live in a very judgmental world. But now i l feel like i live in fear. That every itch i have down there is an outbreak. (inside my butt) Im scared to go to the bathroom or wash (even though i do lol ) because i fear
that im going to have an outbreak. I try not to think about it. But I dont know what will make it trigger.
2nd I just started dating this guy. And before i even found out i had herpes, we had sex. i really like him and now i feel like I might have ruin his life. Because how do you tell someone "Hey i Have herpes, sorry" FYI I just found out this week. I just dont know what to do.

I’m engaged and I think I may have it so understand the panic behind all of this. You have to tell him though. Much easier said than done ... I know. Rather ruin a relationship than ruin trust and character.

if you don’t mind me asking, what were your initial symptoms?

I didnt have the "normal symptoms" i had a itch down there and some bumps my first outbreak. my doc and i thought it was a reaction to my soap./underwear/ pantyliner. This was in August. Last month the itch came back and that time it was worst than the first. So Asked my doc to test it. and it was herpes. Never got the fever, or anything that ppl normally say they get.

ok. because im not having any of the flu like symptom or fatigue either, but the bumps on my anus and the terrible pain I initially had going stool when they first came has me extremely nervous. especially because i’ve only has unprotected sex with one person for 3 years now.

I know exactly how you feel. I researched everything I could about herpes. I knew before i had went back to the doc that i had it. . The bumps or blisters never popped or anything. They only started hurting after i was in the shower and Scratched the hell out of them because the itching was bad. Then when i had to pass stool...OMG. Worst thing ever. lol . But the quicker you go and get it tested, you will feel somewhat better. Its a hard pill to swallow

i would def educate yourself on it some. Its really not to big a deal once you come to terms i see many people one here who live happy healthy lives with it and find people. As far as telling him you have to , you might have even gotten it from him but its hard to say.

its definitely a hard subject to talk about, but definitely tell him and be cautious. my test for herpes came back inconclusive but i took the medication and it cleared up quickly so i assume i do have it. when i met my now boyfriend i told him and he was so supportive. in my mind, if your SO cant accept that you have this than they arent serious about forever. itll say more about who they are, than who you are for beong mature and honest in this situation.
