Have you tried speaking to your doctor about cbt? You need something to help you with your anxiety not anything else, no anti depressants or nothing. Good luck to you.

Hello I know finding that out about your eye just by itself has to be upsetting news. Add to that that you can't have the antidepressants that is double bad news. So so sorry.

I take antidepressants now but I went through tough therapy with no meds. It was hard but it was worth it. Did your Opthalmologist tell you this. Please keep us posted. Please we care. Diane.

Hi Mariano - sorry to read of your situation. Perhaps some counselling to help you deal with this change in your life? Also, there are herbal remedies for depression - St Johns Wort, Camomile Tea and Lavender for example. Don't despair. Life is full of adjustments we have to make, I'm sure you will triumph over this one.

5HTP, Bcomplex or St John's Worts? Try asking your doctor.

Did you used to take a/ds? Is your body used to these meds?  Its hard to try to get through anxious periods like this when you ruminate about it.  It makes it seem much worse.  Perhaps your dr can give you something for the anxiety to help you for a bit, and during that time you can get some therapy. I hope this will help you.
