So, I have been actually doing really well with my horrible anxiety that is very very scary and physical for me. I've been on Citalopram (Celexa) for almost 5 weeks and its been helping a lot! They also have me on 10mg 2x daily of Propanolol and .5 Aitivan for attacks, but I only take half and mainly to sleep at night. Well...lastnight I did get woken up a few times by some people with stressful situations, so I'm not sure if its the calprit or not, but, I felt fine for hours this morning, just a little tired....but I am a smoker, and I did realize I was smoking WAY too much this morning. By the way, I've been completely thoroughly medically checked out, heart, lungs, head, bloodworks etc etc....
About a half an hour ago I decided to lay down and try to take a nap...and that's when it started!!! I got a slight sharp quick pain in the left chest, tried to ignore it, then it would lightly come and go, then felt like I wasn't getting enough air, on and off pains in areas of my arms, then got the lump in my throat. I gave in and took a half and Ativan and hoping that will help but, I need someone to talk to and keep me occupied. Because as I sit here alone, I notice it more which in turn makes it more scary and intense by thinking about it. Every symptoms coming and going so I'm glad they're not all together....but I hate this!!! Oh yea, I also got that full cloudy feeling in my ears and some tingly finger tips...ugh!!!
PLEASE write back someone!!! You guys are my rock here!

I hope you're now feeling much better. One thing that helps me is Bach Rescue Remedy Spray. It just gives a little bit of calm, which is extremely welcome during this time! Also, I've recently discovered that I have Histamine Intolerance. My body is full of histamine and there's a point where the "bucket" overflows. I get many, many symptoms including panic attacks. In fact, in much of their literature, they mention that panic attacks is one symptom. You may want to Google Histamine Intolerance and see if you might have other symptoms on the list. Many times, a Low-Histamine Diet will help tremendously. Best of luck to you!

Thank you, I am doing better. However, I personally can not Google my symptoms Ever!! Lol Because along with my lovely GAD I also have bad Health Anxiety and easily think I have things if I hear or see any symptoms I have from the anxiety. I have learned these past two months that Google is not my friend when it comes to my anxiety and symptoms. But, I may ask my doctor about that, thanks again!! How are you doing?

Im just 20 and I'm goin through it too ( I never thought I would be though; was such a vivacious carefree gurl )
I had my ECG and ECHO tests done today and thay all came back normal. I feel so damn stupid because my whole family was worried because of my constant " somethings wrong with me's"
I am soo relieved and I am sooo THANKFUL to God I'm absolutely fine and all reports came back normal.
Im still feeling anxious and low and detached from reality rightnow and yeah, I do get that annoying lump in mt throat sometimes, but the more attention u pay to it the more will bother u.
Trust me, its ALL IN THE HEAD. =14pxOur constant thinking and negativity causes this.
The more u thibk if it. The more you'll feel it.
Don't fight it.
Try to ignore it.
Thats what I try to do too.
Distract yourself AS MUCH as u can.
Or wear a rubber band around ur wrist,
each time u find urself overthinking and over analysing and sweating out just SNAP it and start thinking of summin else.
I hope you feel better.
I'm stuck in a rut too. Trust me.
Read my posts on here you'll know.
We'll get through it.

It sounds like you are going through exactly what I just did the past couple months!! I was in and out of the ER and my doctors more than in my whole life! I'm only 29 too. I constantly had the something's wrong feeling too! Had multiple EKGs, Echo, Stress Test, numerous urines, kidneys tests, 2 complete blood work ups, thyroid check, CT on my chest/heart/lungs, CT on my head and can't remember what else lol.
At this point I'm making myself believe I'm fine all tests came back great!! And I too try to ignore it, keep distracted etc. your right, the more I notice it the worse it feels and the more it bothers and scares me.
How are you doing today? Please keep in touch, I think we'd be good support for each other. If you want if course!
Being optimistic,
Stacy

i understand completely!! Don't apologize, I've had all those feelings...anger crying, irritable etc. I too have said please just go away and not come back and I just wanna be me again!! It was extremely hard for me to accept "anxiety" as my diagnosis. I'd insist they didn't catch something...but multiply drs saying the same thing! Lol
Way to go for you going shopping!! Did it help? Getting your mind off can really help. I'm leaving now to go take a walk around the nearby lake
feel free to privately message me Tiffany....just click the little envelope under my logo We can talk more!
Keep in touch!!

Lie down somewhere comfortable. stretch and relax each muscle in turn starting at the toes and working up to your head. Keep your breathing slow. Play some relaxing music.
