I had an outbreak of something. Visited the ER, and got a "swab" of the blister. Test came back negative. So, my question one month later, with a similar breakout, what on earth could this be?

Obviously if -ve test then nothing dreadfully serious but still worrying.

you should try a proper STD /GUM clinic for full diagnosis.
