Bless you Maria, but I think I know what your going through, I’m not sleeping at nite, when I try I become really agitated, then takes up to 3 hours to fall asleep, and only fit around a hour, then awake again and start the progress all over, I woke last nite, ( well I think I was awake) with my heart racing that fast, that I was not sure if I was dreaming or I was awake 🤔.. starting to dread trying to go to sleep if this is what it’s like, Iv tried herbel sleeping tablets, but don’t seem to work for me, or my body just fights with it, god knows, this menopause as some thing to answer for 😩 big hug 🤗x

OMG that’s like me talking, as I go through the nite, it calms down as well lol.. but hate those 2/3 hours when I’m in bed, and I can feel it all starting as tho it’s in my blood, I try to take my mind if it, but just don’t work... this is my 4th year in to this crap, not had a period since March of this year, so hoping that it stays that way, and maybe come out of it next year 🤞.. can only hope ..
I wish you all the best with this so called crap, one day hopefully it will be a thing of the past for us both, and all the other ladies going through this..
My friend is 62 and she never had the menopause, none of the stymptons at all, just sailed through it, I really don’t understand how I person can and others have to put up with such misery at times.. big hug 🤗xx

HI Tracyjgordon, I was put on that men b4 I went on to fluoxetine, 15mg it did help me sleep like you said, but 6mth down the line I had to come off it as the nitemares it gave me were horrendous, and I’d start to wake 3/4 times in the nite from these nitemares, I just couldn’t stand it any more, I could rembeber them all and use to frighten me to death in the end 😫.. so I was then put on fluoxetine which helps me with my depression but not with the sleep 😩.. I do hope taking that med keeps working for you, and I know it can for some people to , good luk with it chic big hug 🤗x

Hi Tracy, that is what my doctor gave me last week but i had no problem with sleeping. Though i would wake up sometimes during the night and cant fall back to sleep. He actually.gave it to.me to get my anxiety under control so i can eat better.to help me gain weight back. He said i have generalised anxiety which us affecting my bowels and causing the weight loss. Im scared to take it, i dont like meds because im so sensitive to them. The dosage is 7.5. So, does it really help with your anxiety?

Hi Maria, the internal shakes and collywobbles are down to the lack of hormones and can be helped with hrt. I had these symptoms when my hormones were out of whack, plus many, many more. I went through the menopause about ten years ago, but doctors re-started my periods again about nine months ago by changing, and then changing again, and yet again, the hrt I was taking. I had another change nearly two months ago, and most of my weird symptoms have almost gone. You appear to believe that once your periods stop for a year and you are post menopause that everything will return to how you were before, and I don't want you to feel I am knocking you back when you are down already, but the probability is that your symptoms will persist for some time to come. I am 61 and have been told by the doctors, that I will probably have to remain on hrt for my lifetime, as my body cannot cope without the hormones. You don't say if you are taking hrt, but it may be the route to take. I really feel for you, as the way I was a year ago just doesn't bear thinking about, and if I can help ANYONE to get through this car crash in our lives, I would. X

Hi supremack, I can't go on that stuff HRT to me is not good..but if it's help you do so, my symptoms come and go..for how I was @ 50 years old to how I'am now is little blessing so I know in my heart and prayers to the almighty it does stop..my sister been through the and no longer goes through it now..to me menopause is feelings and thought and not and illness of any kind, although our hormones are depleting they will quiet down with time, my Doctor said what ever you are feeling will passed, think about the generations like our mums ain't going through this crap no more there is end.

Here with you Maria, I’m sure there as to be a end, as when Iv spoken to other ladies, they’ve gone through the same as us, and did come out the other end ok, and things are more or less good for them, so hoping I’ll be one of them, my hot flushes have gone now, it’s this sleep problem, and shakes like you, got to deal with, if they got sorted I’d feel much better big hug chic 🤗x
